I have accounts at several different websites. Obviously I have this live journal, but I also have aBlurty and a Deadjournal, which are essentially unused. I've got a Twittter account and a Facebook account that see a lot more action than basically anything else. I even repost my LJ entries as notes on facebook. Once I realized that I was an adult I thought to myself, "jeez, all these kid Social Networking sites aren't gonna cut it! I'm gonna need to get a LinkedIn account. I haven't used it since. I got an Audioscrobbler (or what the kids these days call a Last.fm) account a long time ago where there wasnt really a lot of functionality, and I just havent bothered to use any of the new gizomos, but I do check it everday for some reason. I have a Myspace from back in the day that it was nessesary, but I check it about once a week or less. Speaking of things that were once required for "internetlife" and now seem to be completly useless, I've got a FaceThe Jury account, happily I have long since stopped crying about my less than 7 rating. In the same vein, I've got a Friendster account too. actually I have a lot of failed or uninteresting SNA, see also Orkut, Conspyr, Hi5. and Gazzag.
Ok Cupid and HalfBakery are two websites that I set up just to do the occasional browseing or meme participation, Record Nerd and GoodReads are abortive attempts to cataloge my various media collections.
This is my Identity Commons page. As far as I know, it does pretty much nothing. But I only spent 25 dollars on it and I have it forever! (pet rock anyone?)
